With the recent legislative hurdles facing the California Common Interest Development Industry, this program will help establish standards for implementation of new laws. Discussion topics will include:
- Claims of unlawful harassment: board members; residents; vendors; managers
- Maintenance, repair, and replacement: decks & balconies; what we learned from the fires
- Electric vehicle charging station policies
- Contractors possibly deemed as employees: Dynamex v. California Supreme Court
- SB 261: ability to revoke consent via email
- AB 2912: monthly financial approvals; transfer caps; fidelity coverage
Adrian J. Adams, Esq. is founder and managing partner of Adams Stirling PLC, a law firm specializing in community associations with twelve offices throughout California. In addition to serving on the board of directors of the Los Angeles chapter of CAI, Adrian is a director for the national Foundation for Community Association Research, is a founding member of the Critical Issues Think Tank, and serves on the Task Force for Aging Infrastructures.
Marybeth O. Green, CMCA, AMS, is the Vice President of Education and Development at Seabreeze Management Company Inc. She oversees all training endeavors across the Seabreeze organization for both employees and board members. With a focus on blended learning, an emphasis on establishing base standards, and the incorporation of innovative teaching tools, Marybeth enjoys the challenge and camaraderie of guiding disparate parties into a successful working team. Marybeth’s passion for education and the property management industry has resulted in her training dozens of managers over the course of her 25 year career.
