Implementation of New Laws
This program will discuss and provide guidance regarding several of the most impactful new laws that affect homeowners associations that went into effect in January 2020. The program will also touch on reasonable accommodation requests for assistance animals and the requirements of homeowners associations under current California law. This program will cover:
- The new regulations for associations that went into place at the beginning of 2020, including Election Laws, ADUs, and the balcony bill.
- Issues that arose and actions for associations related to Election Laws specifically.
- Will explain and provide guidance related to reasonable accommodation requests for assistance animals.
