April Educational Luncheon -

Join us for a discussion on the current state of the drought in California and how to set reasonable expectations for your new drought-tolerant landscape.  Take away tips for maintaining your water-thrifty landscape to look fresh throughout the year.

Guest Speakers:

Matt Davenport, a graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is the founder and President of Monarch Environmental, Inc., a multidiscipline landscape management consulting firm focusing on water management, contract management and sustainable landscapes. Additionally, Mr. Davenport is a co-founder of Rockrose Technology, a technology development company focused on sustainability and resource conservation. He is an IA certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor and Water Manager, a US EPA Water Sense Partner, a certified arborist, and a horticulturist. Since 2008, Mr. Davenport and his team have received numerous awards and are credited with reducing water consumption by more than 800,000,000 gallons in Southern California.

Juan Carlos Garcia  is the Water Efficiency Landscape Specialist for the Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD). In his role, he is involved in assisting IRWD public, commercial, and residential customers with their indoor and outdoor water conservation efforts. He is also involved in developing, implementing, and managing programs and materials in water use efficiency, sustainable landscaping, and irrigation water management. Mr. Garcia has been active in the “Green & Water” industry for over 18 years.
