Dealing with Difficult People
This program will cover the many challenges faced by board members and managers on a routine basis concerning homeowners or residents living in the community.  It will also cover dealing with internal conflict within the board itself.
Topics include:
  • Identifying the problem and risks
  • Tools necessary to manage the problem
  • How to address excessive requests for information, documents and records
  • Persistent, unfounded complaints against fellow residents
  • Identifying a harassing resident or determining a neighbor-to-neighbor dispute
  • Enforcing governing documents
  • Action to take when behavior becomes abusive, hostile, disrespectful or threatening
  • Dealing with disruptions during meetings
  • Internal board conflict and "rogue" directors
